Admission
If you would like to learn Danish at CLAVIS you can contact your local council or your local state employment office (Jobcentre). They will refer you to Danish Education or Intro Danish at CLAVIS.
Upon referral we will invite you for a personal interview. Subsequently, we will determine the tuition plan that suits your current level, as well as your needs and requests.
If your native language is unfamiliar to us we will arrange for an interpreter to be present at the interview.
When can you start?
You can begin learning Danish at CLAVIS as soon as possible after referral and the personal interview.
If you wish to participate in Danish via Mother Tongue or CLAVIS ALL, a short wait should be expected.
Free Danish language courses
You have the right to free Danish language courses if you meet the following requirements (not necessarily all requirements should be met by the individual):
- If you have a Danish CPR-number and you are listed at the National Register (Folkeregister) at your local council
- If you have a work permit in Denmark
- If you have a contract of employment and have arrived in Denmark within the last 12 months
- If you are a EU border commuter
The right to free Danish language courses within the system of Danish education is valid for the first three years of arrival in Denmark. Intro-Danish is free for workers who have arrived to Denmark within the past 12 months.
If you do not meet the above mentioned requirements you can choose to pay for your tuition yourself. Please contact CLAVIS directly.
If you are a Danish citizen or if you are under the age of 18, you can apply for free tuition. Please contact your local council or Jobcentre.
