Purpose of the Citizenship Test
When applying for Danish citizenship, it is a requirement to have passed the Citizenship Test as well as either Danish 3 examination with a grade point average of minimum 4, or the FVU test, level 4. The Citizenship Test proves the applicant's knowledge of the Danish society, Danish culture and Danish history.
Information about the test
The Citizenship Test can be taken at CLAVIS. It is a written test and the duration is 45 minutes. It consists of 40 questions about Danish society, culture and history. The questions are multiple choice questions meaning that each question has a few options. To pass the test 32 of 40 questions must be answered correctly.
Dispensation can be offered to disabled people. Application and medical documentation must be handed in no later than 4 weeks before the test. Application for modification of the content and form of the test must be handed in 5 weeks before the test at the time of registration.

Price
The fee for the Citizenship Test is DKK 693. You can sign up at CLAVIS' offices in Greve or Roskilde. The registration fee must be paid when signing up. Photo identification is required.
