Examination in Danish education

At CLAVIS you can take the following exams:

• Danish 1 Examination (Prøve i Dansk 1, PD1) 
• Danish 2 Examination (Prøve i Dansk 2, PD2)
• Danish 3 Examination (Prøve i Dansk 3, PD3)
• Danish language Proficiency Test (Studieprøven)

Examinations are held twice a year – May/June and November/December.

As a student of CLAVIS you can register for examinations upon agreement with your teacher. If you are not a student of CLAVIS you have to register for exams at CLAVIS' office where you will also pay a registration fee. In 2011, the fee for Danish 1, 2 and 3 Examinations is DKK 1171. The fee for the Proficiency Test is DKK 703 for the written part and DKK 703 for the oral part of the test.

Deadline for registration 2011
Deadline for registration for November/December examinations is September 12, 2011.

Examination dates November/December 2011:

• Proficiency Test: November 21 + November 30 (Audio test)
• Danish 3 examination: November 22, 2011
• Danish 2 examination: November 23, 2011
• Danish 1 examination: November 24, 2011

Oral examination
The oral parts of the exams are held during the period of December 7 – 20, 2011.

State controlled examinations
All examinations are produced by the Ministry for Refugee, Immigration and Integration Affairs, and are under state control.

Examination and citizenship
Please notice that there are new rules for people who want to apply for Danish citizenship. Previously, either Danish 2 or 3 Examination were required but from January 2006, only Danish 3 Examination qualifies for citizenship,
