How to register

You should contact your municipality or your local Jobcenter. The municipality or Jobcenter will send a referral to CLAVIS for Danish education 1, 2 or 3 or Intro-Danish, which are free of charge courses. When CLAVIS has received the referral, we will invite you for a sign up  and level placement interview. At the interview we will find the type of course which best matches your language level, wishes and needs. Should we not speak your language, we will invite an interpreter for the interview.

Each Tuesday between 14.00 and 16.30 you can come by for a talk about your options in our satellite in Copenhagen, Nørre Voldgade 94-96, 4th. floor.

When can you start
CLAVIS takes in new students as fast as possible uopn interview and referral, normally within 2 weeks. If you wish specialized courses such as Danish via Mother tongue, Danish via English or CLAVIS ALL, you may experince a waiting period for a new class.

Free Danish language courses
You have the right to free Danish language courses if you meet the following requirements (not necessarily all requirements should be met by the individual):

• If you have a Danish CPR-number and you are listed at the National Register (Folkeregister) at your local council
• If you have a work permit in Denmark
• If you have a contract of employment and have arrived in Denmark within the last 12 months
• If you are a EU border commuter

The right to free Danish language courses within the system of Danish education is valid for the first three years of arrival in Denmark. Intro-Danish is free for workers who have arrived to Denmark within the past 12 months.

If you do not meet the above mentioned requirements you can choose to pay for your tuition yourself. Please contact CLAVIS directly.

If you are a Danish citizen or if you are under the age of 18, you can apply for free tuition. Please contact your local council or Jobcentre.
