At CLAVIS, we recently held an autumn-themed day filled with creativity, good conversation, and poetry!
Before the event itself, a leafless tree was painted on three white canvases. The plan was for the students themselves to bring the tree to life with their own ideas, colors, and expressions. Tables were decorated with paper pumpkins, candles, and other decorations.
Our students turned out in large numbers for the autumn event, where paintbrushes, glue, cardboard, and pencils were put to good use. A bare tree was given new life, decorated with folded and painted leaves. The students were creative and wrote little poems and colorful autumn greetings, which were also placed on the tree.
Activities like this are more than just fun for us. They remind us that language development and creative expression are closely linked. When students are allowed to express themselves creatively through words, colors, and shapes, not only is their language strengthened, but also their courage to use it—because, as with the tree, that is where language comes to life.
Thank you to everyone who helped create a fun and inspiring day!
