Online Teaching with CLAVIS

At CLAVIS, we use the Teams program for online teaching, online interviews and online meetings. Teams is a program that provides access to chats, video and audio calls, file sharing, meeting planning and many other features.

We recommend that you install the program a few days before your first class to ensure that it works.

Installing Teams on a Windows computer:

1. Start Teams: Find and install Microsoft Teams via the Start menu.
2. Log in with your Microsoft 365 account (username and password).
3. Click ‘Sign in’ to get started.

Installing Teams on a Mac computer:

1. Download and install Teams for Mac via the Microsoft website. Alternatively, you can find Teams in the Mac App Store. Then follow the installation instructions to install the app.
2. Start Teams by clicking on the Teams icon in the Applications folder on your Mac.
3. Log in with your Microsoft 365 account (username and password).
4. Click ‘Sign in’ to get started.

Start your Teams online interview or meeting:

1. Start your online meeting by clicking on the Teams link you received by email.
2. Connect 5-10 minutes before the interview/meeting starts.
3. Turn on your webcam and use headphones with a microphone.

Requirements for participation

To participate in the interview or meeting, you must have your webcam turned on. Your teacher may choose to record online lessons for later use. However, participation in online lessons is a requirement. Viewing recordings of online lessons does not count as participation.
