Here at CLAVIS, we place great emphasis on ensuring that everyone has experiences that bring joy, strengthen our sense of community, and also offer educational value. We recently organized an event specifically for all our students at our school in Greve.
This time, we chose a theme centered on spring. As we have done successfully in the past, we prepared three white canvases and painted grass and flower stems on them. Through creative processes, the students then created their own suns, flowers, ladybugs, butterflies, and other elements using cardboard and crepe paper. A designated area was set aside for the students to write poems in Danish with a spring theme, which were then to be transcribed onto cardboard clouds.
The event was a huge success
There was cake, fruit, tea, coffee, and juice, and four large table areas had been set up so everyone could sit and enjoy themselves at the tables. Only two of these table areas were designated for the creative activity, but it didn’t take long before all four were in use, because everyone felt inspired to get creative. Our goal was achieved and then some, because everyone was happy and felt a stronger sense of togetherness through the shared creative project.
All the beautiful creations were mounted on canvases, so the participants themselves created creative art and lovely poems, which will now hang on the wall in the common room.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who participated in our event, and a special thank you to all the staff members who each helped with the many preparations for this beautiful day.
