If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Corona, it’s that online learning is here to stay. CLAVIS has been offering online learning to our students long before Corona, as we know it can be beneficial for many. And while each student’s reasons for choosing online learning are different, here are five good reasons why online learning can be a good choice:
- Flexibility – this is probably the biggest reason to choose online learning. You can take classes wherever you are. You may not be able to leave work before class starts and choose to take classes from the office. Or maybe you travel a lot and want to take classes from your hotel room. In addition, many parents with young children who are unable to take care of their children attend online classes from home instead.
- Undisturbed group work – breakout rooms are a great option for group work, as you are only with your group and not bothered by outside noise. Breakout rooms allow you to work in a more undisturbed and intimate way than in a classroom, where there’s a different kind of buzz and bustle. So if you like the calm and focus of group work, online learning can be a good idea.
- Rewatch lessons – when learning new things, it’s good to have things repeated, and when you receive online lessons, you have the option to rewatch all lessons. This also applies if you have been unable to attend the online course. This ensures that you don’t miss out on any knowledge and are well prepared for both the next lesson and the exam itself.
- Save on transportation – maybe you don’t live near a language center, or maybe you just want to be able to get home quickly after your online lessons. Either way, you’ll save time on the road or on public transportation and can quickly jump from screen to sofa.
Convenience – Let’s be honest, there’s something to be said for working or studying in comfy socks and sweatpants, drinking your favorite tea or coffee in your favorite cup.
