Danish for employees
Retention and Business Value
How will you retain international employees in 2026?
Regardless of industry, the challenge is often the same:
A lack of a common language can negatively impact well-being, performance, and retention.
That is why Danish language training is not just an employee benefit, but a strategic tool for HR and management seeking to strengthen operations, integration, and the bottom line.
Do your employees want to learn Danish or become even better at speaking, reading, or writing?
In addition to Danish language instruction, employees will also gain insight into Danish culture and unwritten rules in the workplace. We base our approach on the workday at your company and the challenges your foreign employees encounter.
Even though informal written and spoken communication among employees may take place in English, small talk during breaks, technical jargon, written procedures, and emails are often in Danish, and misunderstandings can easily arise in instructions or when handing off tasks. This can lead to frustration and production errors—something that ultimately takes a toll on both employee satisfaction and the bottom line.
Based on your needs, we will plan a Danish course that matches you as a company. We offer Danish lessons either at your company, in one of our departments, or online. The teachings will take place 1-2 times a week with 2 lessons with a break between them. The time is customized to you and your employees.
Most of our courses are free, and you can also apply for SVU (State Adult Education Support) at the same time.
Your employees may also need to improve their skills in English, math, or IT, and we can provide training in those areas as well.

CLAVIS has more than 40 years of experience teaching Danish as a second language. We can tailor the instruction to perfectly fit your employees’ daily lives and challenges. For example, we can focus on safety or instruction within a specific area, or perhaps you simply want to equip your employees to more easily chat with colleagues during lunch breaks.
