Many higher educations in Denmark require Danish at a certain level, and a Proficiency Test exam can open many doors to different higher education programs. If you are dreaming of admission to a higher education program in Denmark, Proficiency Test (Studieprøven) is a great idea.
The Proficiency Test is the last part of the Danish Language Education – DU3 module 6 – and to gain access to the Proficiency Test team, you must have grades at a minimum of three 10s from your PD3 exam. If you do not have the right grades, you can apply for admission. It is a screening that takes approx. 3 hours and will determine whether you have the right prerequisites to join the Proficiency Test team.
If you do not have the Proficiency Test in Danish as a second language and do not wish to take it, you must be able to document that you have equivalent Danish language skills if you wish to apply for higher education.

The Proficiency Test gives access to a wide range of higher education programs, and it is also an admission requirement for many Danish universities. When it comes to Danish Language Education, you cannot get to a higher level than the Proficiency Test.
If you are planning to live, study or work in Denmark permanently, it may be a good idea to take a Proficiency class.
In a Proficiency class, you will learn to express yourself in a more nuanced way in both written and spoken Danish. This also means that a lot of attention is paid to ensure that your pronunciation and written language is correct.
The Proficiency Test (Studieprøven) team prepares you to participate in the Danish public debate. This means that you can participate on an equal footing with either fellow students or colleagues during lunch breaks, lectures or meetings at work. Teachers in a Studieprøve class will go in-depth and make corrections to ensure correctness in both writing and pronunciation. In addition, you will learn how to argue and relate to a specific topic.
The study test ends with an exam.
